Penguin 541's unlucky advententures
This book edition is a collaboration with SANCCOB in South Africa. The story of this book, in form of a Rollbuch, is about a South African penguin and his adventures. It reflects my own personal volunteer experience in the 6 weeks I worked at SANCCOB. As well as all the daily tasks that SANCCOB caretakers have to deal with. My personal approach was of course to reflect in a, as light as possible way, the threads South African penguins are facing. All sales from this Rollbuch edition were successfully donated back to the organization and to the cause of penguin protection.

“Glow”, 2021 Oil on canvas I created a series of self portraits reflecting my personal behavior with the usage of filters. The paintings are based on photos using a filter. Realizing that I rather identify with my filter version than with the true side of mine, this was the moment of understanding my destroyed perception of beauty. With this art series I invite everyone reflecting the conception of beauty and also the addiction to the usage of filters.

Octo is a fable about an octopus who falls in love with the head of a sunken ancient statue exposed by a storm. The plot is a metaphor for the ambivalent search for security, a thirst for freedom and the constant search for adventure. All etchings were produced in Italy close to Parma.

Chocolate Branding
The idea of EMEKA Food was to offer higher quality African chocolate and superfoods. Through this project, Sydney Emeka Nwakanma wanted to bridge the gap between Africa and Europe and connect the two sides of his heritage. The results would be sustainable stream to income for African communities and also more diversity for the European market, via African-Made products. I am Ann-Christin. But I am actually both: Ann & Christin.
A passionate Illustrator and environmental fighter for Planet Earth.
Since 2019 I am performing as an independent Designer & Illustrator supporting agencies, studios and brands for their campaigns or branding processes.
As an environmentalist, I am supporting brands and projects to create a better tomorrow. Although my focus is mainly marine and ocean protection I also do support other sustainable and environmental driven challenges.
My skills vary from analoge techniques, such as acrylic, oil, etchings, wood and linoleum prints to vector based illustrations in digital ways.
