Kaja Merle

Kaja Merle is an illustrator, living and working in Hamburg, Germany. 

Growing up on the countryside – she made the jump to move to a new urban surrounding, being able to bike and try out a new coffee shop every day. 

​Although she is living in the most rainy city, she always works on keeping the sun and warmth in her illustrations. Having a close bond to a beach in Florida, where she partly grew up on, she includes tropical, breezy and sunny elements in her work. Being inspired by the lush flora and fauna in a humid surrounding, she draws her color palettes from bright flowers and colorful patterns. 

Exploring the band-with of varieties she creates vibrant, cheeky and dreamy illustrations. Whenever she isn’t working on current projects, you can find her enjoying a good book by the water.
